Welcome
Welcome to the new website of the xGPS project. This project goal is to develop an open GPS hardware and software solution for the iPod touch and the iPhone. It is work-in-progress project. Please don’t ask when it will be finished because we simply don’t know :-)!
We have finished the first part of the UI. The first version will be integrated into the Maps applications. See below for a screenshot.

Hei guys, but do you now if the sw that they are developing will work like tomtom app?? That is, if I set a destination the application create a route to arrive in?
June 27th, 2008 at 11:11 am
it is a nice hardware kit but it will never substitute a tom tom navigator .Just imaginne the lack of audio support that will make it unusuable while driving. I think what the iPhone really miss and is a BIG LACK is MMS NATIVE SUPPORT, WAP, and VIDEO . Apart from Swirly MMS are we supposed to wait 2011 before all this will come to iPhone???
